Consultancy Intern

We are thrilled to offer an opportunity for a Consulting Intern to join COUNT Consultancy, our sustainable consultancy arm focused on guiding members of the petrochemical industry through their transition to a sustainable future. This internship, starting in March 2024 and lasting for 4 months (with a possibility of extension), provides hands-on experience in the realm of sustainability consulting.

Role Description

As an intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the research and backend activities necessary for drafting applications. This involves working with provided data, adhering to established procedures, and aligning with project objectives. The internship offers valuable experience in sustainability consulting, concentrating on tasks such as application write-ups, editing, and research for various projects and clients. You will gain valuable skills in specific sustainability accreditations and gain hands-on experience in their execution. This opportunity promises a rich learning experience and exposure to the practical aspects of sustainability consulting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance in selected client projects, focusing on research, data acquisition, and analysis.
  • Support efforts in the plastic credits project – this involves analysing and utilising submitted data to produce client applications, ensuring accuracy and alignment with relevant standards.
  • Conduct research on specific regulations, tailoring the findings to meet country/region requirements.
  • Research potential new clients, gather background information to support business development effort.
  • Compile data and research findings to address client inquiries and support ongoing consultancy projects.
  • Opportunities for client interaction and engagement, including presenting findings from research efforts.

Your Profile

  • Available to work full-time in the Netherlands for a 4-month duration, commuting to our office located in Rotterdam.
  • High proficiency in English.
  • Current enrolment in a sustainability-related, business/economics degree program or recent graduate with a strong interest in sustainability.
  • Strong preference for autonomous, self-sufficient, and proactive working/thinking.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively within a diverse team environment.
  • Exceptional writing skills to articulate complex concepts into clear, actionable insights for clients.
  • Proven research capabilities to gather and synthesize information for consultancy projects.
  • Detail-oriented mindset, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks.
  • Passionate about sustainability and enthusiastic about contributing to impactful projects driving positive change.
