COUNT Consultancy is a company within COUNT Group that mainly supports chemical recyclers in improving their sustainability outcomes and attaining different sustainability certifications, such as (but not limited to) REACH, ISCC, Ecovadis and Plastic Credits.
About the role
The internship will be full-time, for at least 4 months in Rotterdam. This internship opportunity offers valuable hands-on experience in the dynamic field of sustainability consulting within the petrochemical industry, alongside on-the-go training.
Tasks:
- Analyse and implement different sustainability certifications (REACH, ISCC, Plastic Credits, Ecovadis)
- Conduct market and regulatory research to stay updated on sustainability trends, best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Contribute to capacity-building efforts by assisting in the development and delivery of training programmes and materials related to sustainability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect and analyze data, preparing reports and presentations to communicate key findings and recommendations.
- Provide support in the clients’ non-commercial sustainability strategy.
- Assist in carbon calculation activities to measure and analyze the environmental impact of clients’ operations.
Requirements:
- Educational background and/or previous experience in sustainability-related areas
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and public speaking skills are a plus
- Proficiency in English, with the ability to conduct research, analyze data, and prepare reports.
- Research skills to gather, analyze, and synthesize information from various sources.
- Passion for the sustainability field and interest in the petrochemical industry, with a desire to contribute to positive environmental impact.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, while also collaborating effectively with team members.
- Public experience in consulting and/or client-facing roles is not mandatory but a strong plus.
Administrative requirements:
- Applicants must be eligible to work legally in the Netherlands for a full-time (40 hours a week) internship -Internationals on student visas are welcome.
- Available to work in person and commute to the Rotterdam office 3 days a week (2 days working from home).
- Candidates are required to be enrolled in a related educational program for the full duration of the internship -Likely until December 2024- (e.g., environmental science, sustainability, business, or a similar discipline).
