Financial Controller

Count Group is divided into several legal entities (and office locations). Each entity is managed by an executive board member, who has ultimate responsibility for their departments and associated employees. The Finance department is part of CET B.V. (Rotterdam) and is managed by Henk Vuijk. All finance employees, in the various positions, report directly to Henk Vuijk. 

Overall, the Finance department has a crucial role in ensuring COUNT's successful financial policy and financial stability. Besides preparing and analyzing financial reports, Finance is responsible for all financial processes and procedures within COUNT, such as planning and control cycles, budgets, forecasts, investments, and process optimization. A good financial policy contributes to trust among stakeholders. 

Key Responsibilities 

The Controller oversees the financial administration in areas such as budget, accounting, and audits.  The controller is responsible for the correct, timely and complete reporting of the financial administration. The controller supports the board in managing and controlling the organization. 

 

General tasks and responsibilities include such as: 

  • Checking the financial reporting in accordance with laws and regulations 
  • Responsible for the audits for the entities in the CET Holding B.V. group 
  • Periodically prepare the (consolidated) reporting for stakeholders  
  • Assisting with corporate tax returns 
  • Provide financial statements in accordance with reporting standards / management reports 
  • Execute payments for the legal entities of the group 
  • Planning & Control cycle 
  • Control testing in Cerrix and periodic reporting on controls 

 

Your profile:  

Knowledge and expertise: 

  • Master's degree in finance & control 
  • At least 3-5 years of controlling work experience.  
  • Strong knowledge of accounting, bookkeeping, and Microsoft Excel 
  • Dutch and English languages, both verbally and in writing 

Skills: 

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills 
  • Proactive and hands-on driven 
  • Able to work independently 
  • Accurate, critical, and committed 
  • Strong communication skills 

  

The vacancy is immediate and we are seeking candidates based in the Rotterdam region or nearby areas, or those willing to commute.

Additional:

  • Experience with consolidation of an international group with multiple entities
  • Experience with VAT and Income tax in an International environment, transfer pricing
  • Preference for someone with commodity experience
  • Experience with IFRS, excel, automation projects (Power BI)
