Product Operator 

We are looking for a dedicated operator to join our Operations team for an on-site position in Rotterdam (Waalhaven). The Operations team at COUNT is responsible for the end-to-end management of the supply chain, ensuring optimal cost-efficiency and effectiveness from loading to final customer delivery. By overseeing various logistics processes, maintaining records, and providing effective problem-solving solutions, the Operations team plays a crucial role in our logistical process.  

Key Responsibilities

The Operator is responsible for executing various operational tasks efficiently and accurately, play a crucial role in the day-to-day functioning of the business, ensuring orders are planned and delivered according to plan, inventory is managed effectively, and operational processes align with company policies and regulations. General tasks and responsibilities include such as: 

  • Check deal confirmation against a broker, supplier or customers recap and contact traders for corrections in case of discrepancies. 
  • Communicate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to facilitate the smooth flow of product deliveries, respond to inquiries and provide updates on deliveries and/or loading schedules. 
  • Review, accept and nominate vessels and barges under contract, send nominations to customers, suppliers and appoint inspectors for Q& Q as per agreed delivery schedule 
  • Clear nominated vessels with terminals, inspectors and counterparties and coordinate the vetting process if required 
  • Issue instructions to the vessel via brokers - voyage orders/agents appointed/LOIs. 
  • Ensure correct and timely input of data and details related to trade deals, barge movements, Q&Q reports and event dates into COUNT's CTRM systems. 
  • Generate invoices to customers. Check, approve and allocate incoming invoices for products and product-related costs. 
  • Review and issue letters of credit and submit documents requested. 

Required skills and experience 

Knowledge and expertise:   

  • MBO+/HBO degree 
  • Relevant work experience is preferred  
  • Residing in Rotterdam or close surrounding 
  • Good skills in MS Office & ERP software 
  • Fluent in English language, both verbally and in writing. 
  • Basic knowledge of the various INCO terms and delivery conditions, for road, rail and sea transport.

  • Capable of thriving independently and collaboratively in a team. 
  • Adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Able to deal with stress/unpredictable situations 
  • Demonstrate versatility, ability to prioritize and adapt to situations and resolve problems quickly.
